a survey for
our members

friends. We
hope to use

information
to offer

benefits and
events for
our
members.

Corporate
5K Volunteers |
Mark your
calendars
for the
annual
Corporate 5K
to be held
at
Lake Eola
Park
on Thursday
evening,
April 15th.
The Orlando
Runners Club
needs to
provide 50 volunteers
to work the
water
stop at this
event. In
exchange for
our efforts,
the ORC
Scholarship
fund will
recieve a
donation
from the
race. So plan
to bring
your friends
and family,
volunteer,
then stay
and enjoy
the
post-race
party.

Race Into Summer 5K
Artwork Contest |
The
5th Annual
ORC Race
into Summer
5K
is scheduled
for
June 5
at
Jay
Blanchard
Park
in Orlando.
The ORC is
looking for
submissions
of artwork
to be used
on this
year's race
shirts and
advertising.
Entries must
be received
by
March 31
in high
resolution
electronic
format that
can be
submitted to
the printing
company. If
you or
someone you
know has an
artistic
talent, send
your design
to Michele
at
mtb40@aol.com.
You could
win a great
prize, and
be
recognized
at this
annual
event.

Cultural Exchange
Program

Welcome
Home Runners

As most of you
know,
the Orlando
Runners Club in
conjunction with
the City of
Orlando
participate in a
cultural and
friendship
exchange program
each year with
our sister city,
Urayasu, Japan,
and the Urayasu
Runners Club.
As part of the
exchange
program, four
Orlando
Runners recently
traveled to
Japan to run in
the Tokyo Bay
Urayasu City
(Half)
Marathon.
Congratulations
to Dave
Berry, Melissa
MacDonald, Jason
Johnson, and
Cathy
Lowe on
completing the
Half Marathon on
February
7th. They all
had a great race
and a wonderful
trip. Look for
pictures to be
posted on our
website soon.

Trip to Gasparilla
|
Many ORC
members and
friends are
traveling to
Tampa on
February 27
and 28 to
participate
in various
events as
part of the
Gasparilla
Marathon
Weekend.

social
events

the weekend.
