of the ORC!

- Buy fresh fruits & vegetables when they
are in season.
- Choose fruits in place of snacks high in
sugar, fat and salt.
- Store fresh fruits and vegetables
tightly wrapped in lower part refrigerator
to keep them fresh as long as possible.
- Try to include a variety of vegetables
in your diet, such as leafy greens, dark
greens and yellow vegetables.
- Serve leftover vegetables cold with
dressing as a salad.
- Shop at a FARMER’S MARKET

- Monthly Group Run - 1st Tuesday of each
month - Next Run is May 2nd at 7:00 pm at
O'Boys BBQ, 565 W. Fairbanks Ave in Winter
Park.
- Monthly ORC Board Meeting - 2nd Tuesday
of each month - Next Board Meeting is May
9th at 6:30 PM at Blanchard Park

Asher Neel Memorial 5K for Habitat
|
|
|
Don't miss The Asher Neel Memorial 5K race on
Saturday, May 20, 2006, at 8:00 am in beautiful
Oakland, Florida.
Location: Starts at the First Presbyterian
Church of Oakland, 218 E. Oakland Ave., Oakland,
FL 34760 (just west of Winter Garden).
The course is a beautiful layout that contains
small hills and passes across West Orange Trail
twice. it is a tree lined scenic route.
Trophies will be given to the top three male and
female runners overall, and medals will be given
to the top three in each age group. Refreshments
will be provided after the race, with T-shirts
given to all participants. There will be a prize
drawing open to all participants where local
vendors are donating the prizes.
Race proceeds benefit West Orange Habitat for
Humanity. Habitat is more than building houses.
Habitat is about building lives and hope.
Come join us for a great race for a good cause.
