Sunday Morning Runs

This is a heads up about our Sunday morning, 7:00 AM small running group in Winter Park. We start at the Water Fountain a block east of Morris Blvd. We tend to run fairly slowly (10 minute range).

For those looking to run a more brisk pace, we can probably set you up with another group who often also start at 7:00 AM.

We do the old Runners Club route through the Vias and then south to Mizell or Glen Ridge. Some run a six-mile route and others up to 10-11 miles. It is also easy to do a four mile loop. This is a group which used to field up to 60 or so runners each Sunday, but the number of runners has been whittled away by the marathon training programs. I have been running with this group for the last 19 years and have acquired a lot of friends in the process.

We occasionally have people show up from out of town. Three weeks ago we had a visitor from England.

Our promise: No one who is not familiar with the route will be left behind!
