- Disney Marathon
Volunteers |
The ORC
needs you, your
family and
friends to
help us at Water
Stop #24
at the
Disney Marathon
on
Sunday, January
10, 2010.
This is a big
volunteer effort
as we need
60
volunteers
and we are way
short of our
goal. And
the deadline to
sign up is
September 30th,
so register
today.
As a
volunteer, you
will receive a
windbreaker,
food and
beverage, and a
one-day theme
park ticket.
If you aren't
running Disney,
then help the
ORC support
those who are.

SEPTEMBER
30TH, AND
THEN TURN IN
YOUR WAIVER
FORM. DON'T

Urayasu
Exchange -
Application Deadline
Extended to Sept 30 |
Applications
are
still being
accepted for
selection of
runners to
represent
the
ORC
and
City of
Orlando
at the Tokyo
Bay
Urayasu City
Half
Marathon
in
February
2010.
Applicants
must be
18 or
over
with a
valid
passport,
able to
complete
a half
marathon
in 2:30
or less,
and a
member
of the
Orlando
Runners
Club or
a
resident
of the
City of
Orlando.
If you
qualify
and are
selected
as one
of four
runners
(one
male and
one
female over
40 and
one male
and one
female
under
40) you
will
travel
to Japan
on a
trip of
a
lifetime.
Travel
expenses
(airfare
and
lodging)
are paid
for,
meals
and
personal
expenses
are the
participant's
responsibility.

As part of the
Urayasu Cultural
Exchange
Program, the ORC
just received
word that
Japanese runners
will be coming
to Orlando for
the OUC
Half Marathon.

to be held on

at Kelly
Park/Rock
Springs.
This is always a
fun activity for
our ORC members
and families.
Please

the
tubes,

RSVP.

bring

float down
the river!

free for ORC
members;
non-members
are $8 per
person.)

opens at 8
am, so come
anytime, but
once the
park fills
up, you
can't get
in. Lunch
will be

around
noon.
No alcohol
is allowed
in Kelly
Park.

$5 for 3-8
