currently happening with the
Orlando Runners Club as well as running
news, social events, races and 'happenings' in Florida.

This is the BIG WEEKEND for the Orlando Runners
Club! Don't miss the OUC Half-Marathon, a visit with our
Japanese exchange runners, and the annual Christmas
Party!

We are honored to welcome this year's guest
runners from our sister running club in Urayasu,
Japan this week! Besides running the OUC
Half-Marathon on Saturday we have a full
schedule of activities planned. Please come out
and join us!

Ms. Yumiko Koyama (34), at left in the
photos above, has a half-marathon PR of 1:40:20.
Her hobbies are watching sports and listening to
music. Of her visit, she says, "Through OUC
Half, I would like to enjoy and feel Orlando."
Mr. Takamitsu Tanii (52), second from
left in the photos has a half-marathon PR of
1:25 and a full marathon PR of 3:03. He likes
jogging and watching sports. Looking forward to
his visit Mr. Tanii says, "I just want to enjoy
the race without worrying about the time. Also I
would like to run the race with engraving
Orlando and race atmosphere on the heart."
Mr. Masakazu Matsushita (26 ),
recently ran an incredible half-marathon of
1:09:52. He claims that his hobby is jogging,
but it sounds like what he is doing is far
beyond "jogging"! As for the OUC race he says,
"I try to run faster than this year’s Urayasu
Half Marathon. I would like to contribute to the
Sister-City Friendship Exchange."
Ms. Miyuki Kohri (41), on the right in
the photos, has a best half-marathon of 1:39:00
and in her spare time loves to travel. She is an
active member of the Urayasu Runners Club and
was kind enough to spend lots of time with the
ORC runners who visited Japan last Spring. She
and her husband also visited Orlando two years
ago. About her upcoming visit, Miyuki simply
says, "I would like to enjoy the atmosphere of
Orlando Half Marathon."

Annual ORC Holiday Party This Saturday Night
With Our Japanese Guest Runners!

The Orlando Runners Club 2005 Holiday
Party is this Saturday night, December
3rd beginning at 6:00 PM! Bring your favorite
dish to share and replenish your energy stores
after the OUC Half-Marathon. Meats and sodas are
provided by the club, plus we'll have all the
delicious surprise dishes from your fellow
runners.
To get there: Join us at
Vicki's house, 1401 Westchester Avenue at the
corner of Orange and Westchester in Winter Park.
