Urayasu Runners Visit Orlando
|
The ORC was pleased to
host our four guest runners and their
families from Urayasu, Japan:
Mr. Shigeyuki Yanagida,
and his wife, Emiko; Mr. Hiroki
Zaizen; Ms. Shoko
Nakano, her daughter, Akari,
and her son, Shotaro; and Ms.
Kaeko Muroi, her husband,
Yuusaku, her son, Ryosuke, and her
daughter, Asumi.
Congratulations
to Ms. Kaeko Murio who placed
2nd in her age group at the OUC
Half Marathon with a time of
1:35.
Thank you to everyone
that helped plan for, host or
entertain our guests and fellow
runners from Urayasu, Japan. The
weekend was a great success and
everyone had a wonderful time.
Special thanks to Tom Ward and
Michele Brackett for
planning and coordinating all the
events, and to the ORC members that
hosted runners in their homes:
Theresa & Tommy Harter-Miles,
Billy Kovaly,
Seth & Janice Elsheimer
and Dave & Ann Griffith.
And for all of you
who helped, here's a thank you note
from the Japanese:
Dear Tom and all ORC friends,
Last Sat, we all met with Ms Shoko
Nakano, Ms Kaeko Muroi and Mr Hiroki
Zaizen.
They brought us a lot of happy
memories and excitements. They all
said that you took care of them so
well and made them feel so grateful
during their
stay in Orlando.
We are also so happy to know about
it and glad to hear about you from
them.
Special thanks for your special
kindness!
We are looking forward to having
the opportunity of returning our
thankfulness.
